The two enter a certain part of the forest that had taken form of a beauty that only they can understand. It was as if it called them to rest, even if it was for a brief moment. It wouldn't be so bad to just take a small break, right? After all, they did scout out most of the area. Naruto puts his back on the tree. Hinata lays her back down in-between his legs. Their hearts beat with the same romance as many times before. Hinata tries to stay awake, but her eyes were getting heavy. Naruto looks at Hinata, and says, "You can sleep, Hinata. I promise I won't leave."

"I know you won't leave, Naruto. I just don't want you to stay awake." she said. There was a deep sense of responsibility in her heart. She desperately tries to stop her eyes from closing, but it was too much.

Naruto put his arms around hers. "Hinata, there is nothing wrong with sleeping. I'll wake you up, if something's wrong."

Hinata puts her head back against his chest, knowing she can't win this conversation. "Thank you, Naruto..." She breaths softly on his arm, her head snuggles against him a little.

"Sleep well, Hinata."

This exotic forest has caused Hinata to fall asleep. Some of the sunlight, which is blocked by the leafs of the tree, reflected from Hinata's flawless skin. She just looks so beautiful. Naruto was very that she was always by his side. She had told him her desire to walk by him, side by side. Truth be told, he felt the same way. He always wanted to catch up to everyone else, who did not give him the respect, or kindness, that he had wanted. Now they were all friends, ready to help one another when the time came. There is no doubt in Naruto's mind that him and Hinata will walk together, forever in this world and beyond.

"Naruto...." Naruto looks down at Hinata, looking to see if something has troubled her. But he only see's her eyes closed, still sleeping in bliss. "I love.... you...."

His heart was beating, with passion. It's as if a campfire had just started in his heart. This was no longer a recon mission. It was a romantic getaway, for their love to grow. Naruto moves his head near her ear, and whispers, "I love you too, Hinata." He then gives her one more kiss.

Hinata smiles softly, from the kiss Naruto had given her. She can sleep soundly, knowing that he'll watch over her. For next time, she will do the very same. For that is the promise she had made, before she finally fell asleep.
